- Minimum load: one BloomBerry or Synthetic Yeast, plus 749 mL of water, inside a 6 by 2 grid.
- Clock: no yeast 4 nights, power 2 yeast 2 nights, power 4 yeast 1 night.
- Best water bonus is +1, and it applies to both Pure Water and High-Quality. Gutterflow is −3. The pamphlet complains that Pure Water lacks minerals; the score chart ignores that complaint.
- Cash value opens at 100 cr and adds 3 cr per aged night, then the tier percent. GloomBerry wine is 44 cr, never ages, and is tagged mid-level contraband.
Night one checklist
- Start with a Wine Bottle. Berry quality is frozen at the moment you obtain the fruit. The Fridge will not accept BloomBerries or Wine Bottles, so chilling them does nothing.
- Put at least one BloomBerry, or Synthetic Yeast, into the 6 by 2 grid, and pour at least 749 mL of water.
- Expect the ingredients to be consumed. A Yeast Bioreactor is the exception: it comes back.
- A poured Sealed Water Ration scores as Basewater, which is a zero, not a bonus.
- Sleep out the clock in the table below. After ferment finishes, each further night adds 1 to age and 3 cr. An AgeWell repeats that aging extra times in the same night. Age never promotes the tier.
| Yeast | Power | Nights | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| None | — | 4 | — |
| Yeast | 2 | 2 | 10 cr |
| Super Yeast | 4 | 1 | 20 cr |
| Yeast Bioreactor | 2 | 2 | 250 cr, returned |
| Synthetic Yeast | 2 | 2 | 8 cr, makes GloomBerry wine |
BloomBerries are grown in the Hydroponic System. Which plant stat produces a −1 berry versus a +2 berry is Not verified yet, so do not invent a greenhouse target.
Add the score, then read the tier
| Input | Score change |
|---|---|
| Each berry, by its locked quality | −1, 0, +1, or +2 |
| Bottle holds at least two berries | add 1 |
| Yeast went into the grid | add 1 |
| Water is Pure Water, or it is High-Quality | add 1 |
| Water is Basewater | no change |
| Water is Ghostwater | subtract 1 |
| Water is Rustwater | subtract 2 |
| Water is Gutterflow | subtract 3 |
The in-game BloomBerry Wine Fermenting Guide claims Pure Water is short on minerals. Leave that pamphlet alone when you total the score: Pure Water still grants +1, same as High-Quality. Only the two highest tiers carry the luxury tag: a 5, and a 6 or higher. A score of 0 or worse can be poured out so you keep the glass. To price a finished BloomBerry bottle in the sell-price calculator, set the base to 100 cr plus 3 cr for every night already aged, and use the tier percent as the condition effect. A rent-adjusted weekly profit for a perfect bottle was not in the notes.
Synthetic Yeast builds counterfeit GloomBerry wine. That bottle is mid-level contraband, listed at 44 cr, and aging does not touch it.

| 5 | Reserve | +50% |

Pay 200 cr for the Retired Winemaker upgrade and the seller arrives each Friday carrying 4 Wine Bottles, 8 BloomBerries, two sealed rations, and 4 yeasts. Two of the yeast slots can turn into Super Yeast on a 25% roll. A separate 5% roll can include a Yeast Bioreactor. The parcel bundled with the purchase is smaller: three yeasts, three bottles, a pair of BloomBerries, one sealed ration, a magnifying glass, and the fermenting guide. After you own the upgrade, Dr. Jackson's wine shelf lists an AgeWell on 33% of checks and a Yeast Bioreactor on 20%.
