Cash price versus the mortgage total
On Normal the cash price starts at 12,000 cr. It adds 50 cr per day after day 50, and the added amount stops at 5,000 cr, so the cash price tops out at 17,000 cr. The Normal mortgage is 2,000 cr down, 930 cr a week, for 12 weeks, 13,160 cr total. The mortgage total sits under the capped cash price and above the day-1 cash price. Which one is cheaper depends on the day you buy and on whether you can spare the down payment.
Cozy caps the cash climb at 3,000 cr on a 12,000 cr base (15,000 cr) against a mortgage total of 12,364 cr. Hard caps at 10,000 cr on a 24,000 cr base (34,000 cr) against a mortgage total of 28,840 cr. Challenge caps at 20,000 cr on a 36,000 cr base (56,000 cr) against a mortgage total of 44,920 cr. Those totals are the source figures, not a schedule we simulated week by week beyond the published total.
The permit and the rent that keeps climbing
The permit is a separate bill: 500 cr Cozy, 1,500 Normal, 2,000 Hard, 3,000 Challenge. Add it to whichever buyout path you pick. It is not inside the mortgage total in the table we have.
Rent keeps rising while you save. Cozy 2.5% a week, Normal 5%, Hard and Challenge 10%. Because starting rent is missing, the planner will not invent one. Type the weekly rent from your save. Nightly services in the source are Power 5 cr plus 1 cr per 10 days (doubled on Hard and Challenge), Janitorial 3 cr plus 1 cr per 10 days, and Insurance equal to wealth/400 + 3. The planner uses whole 10-day blocks for that note and leaves insurance blank until you enter wealth.
Use the planner on your numbers
Open the Rent & Buyout Planner, pick the difficulty, type today's rent and the day count, and read the cash price beside the mortgage. The chemistry calculator does not know your cash on hand. Nothing on this site stores that number on a server. It stays in the browser if you leave it in the field.
